DIY wooden peg trivet

Bring cozy, handmade charm to your kitchen with this simple DIY wooden peg trivet! Gather wooden pegs—natural or stained—and arrange them in a circle before securing them with Bostik Home Silicone Sealant for a sturdy, rustic finish. This stylish trivet not only protects your countertop from hot dishes but also adds a dash of handcrafted elegance to your table décor. Ideal for farmhouse-inspired homes or creative craft sessions, its timeless look complements any holiday or everyday setup!

Instructions

STEP 1: Preparation

Separate the 2 halves of the pegs. Soak pegs in clothing dye or coat with stain, and allow to dry.

STEP 2: Silicone

Carefully silicone the pegs in pairs (back to back). Once the silicone has cured, silicone the paired pegs to form a circular trivet.

IMPORTANT

Colour can be applied to the asssembled trivet, but be sure that there is no silicone on the exposed wooden surfaces. Dye/Stain will not penetrate through the silicone.

TIP

Seal with a water-based polyurethane, heat resistant sealer.
